General Secretary of the NSCN (IM), Th Muivah was rushed to a private hospital on July 24 after reportedly complaining of ‘uneasiness’. According to sources, Th Muivah was admitted to the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR) Dimapur on Saturday evening, two days after testing positive for COVID-19.
A day after the NSCN (IM) met the Core Committee on Naga Political Issue in Dimapur, Muivah reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 on July 22.
An NSCN (IM) official confirmed that Muivah was taken to the hospital earlier during the day, but maintained that reports of him being in a serious condition were not true, and that he was in a stable condition.
Speaking to The Morung Express, Director of CIHSR, Dr Sedevi Angami informed that Muivah tested COVID-19 positive but is asymptomatic and his blood pressure and oxygen saturation are at ‘normal levels’. “His condition is now stable and we will keep him under observation,” he added.
