NSCN (IM) mourns demise of Andrew Clark

Dimapur, April 30 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has mourned the demise of Andrew Clark, a prominent member of Quakers.

The NSCN (IM) in a condolence message issued by its MIP said, “We remember the Quakers for their integrity, simplicity, experiences and hard work in the field of peace and reconciliation. They respect no borders. They came all the way to work among the Nagas. The Nagas shall remain indebted to them for their dedicated services to bring about reconciliation and unity among the Naga freedom fighters. Clark played an important role during their mission in Nagalim.”

The NSCN (IM) also recollected that the Quakers took keen interest in solving the Indo-Naga political problem. “Thus, they took the initiative and work towards reconciliation and unity among different political groups to bring final political settlement. They travelled to different places abroad and even in New Delhi and Hebron to meet NSCN leaders. Hard working as he was, Andrew Clark himself reached Hebron on two occasions to meet the NSCN Collective Leadership,” it stated.

The NSCN (IM) has conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members, friends and members of Quakers. “May the spirit of Clark continue to work among the Quakers as they endeavor to work for peace and humanity! It is our hope and prayer that God give them the courage and peace to bear the great loss. May the soul of Clark rest in eternal peace!” it prayed.
