DIMAPUR, MAY 28 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has responded cautiously to the rally organized at Zunheboto town yesterday but questioned the logic behind inviting armed cadres in full combat uniform under heavy protection of ‘Indian Security Forces’. MIP Deputy Kilonser Kraiba Chawang informed that the situation would have turned ugly if NSCN (IM) leaders were to have also joined in the rally fully armed.
Chawang informed that the NSCN (IM) higher ups had restrained its cadres from doing anything that would have disturbed the rally. The NSCN (IM) official also expressed ‘surprise’ over the remark that ‘NSCN (IM) people are complete strangers’ in Zunhoboto. “Is Isaac Swu, our Chairman a stranger in Zunheboto,” Chawang questioned.
