Dimapur, October 5 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has mourned the sudden and untimely demise of V Aphung, Steering Committee Member, WTR after a prolong illness at Ngaihang Village, Senapati district on October 1.
A press release issued by KK Angami, Caretaker/Convener, Steering Committee, NSCN (IM) stated that Aphung joined the National service in 2006, and served the Nation whole heartedly and was a Steering Committee Member when he breathed his last. “The Naga Nation has lost a faithful National worker and a great leader, leaving a vacuum in the National service that will not be easy to fill. Today He is no more in our midst but his tireless sacrifice to the cause will be cherished and respected by the Nagas,” it stated.
The NSCN (IM) conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty God to grant eternal rest to the departed soul.
