Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) Steering Committee has mourned the demise of its member Maj (Retd) TH Amos who passed away on August 16 in Imphal after a prolonged illness.
Late Amos hailed from Taphou Phyamai village (Phuba) in the Shepoumaramth Region and joined the Naga national service in April 1988.
Murning his passing, Convener of the Steering Commitee Ashiho Asoumai stated that “the NSCN has lost a man of great principle who was firm in his commitment to the Naga people and for the cause of the freedom struggle of Nagalim.”
Stating that late Amos’ name would be recorded in the pages of Naga history and remembered at all times to come, Asoumai, on behalf of the NSCN, conveyed condolences to the bereave family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
