Dimapur, July 26 (MExN): On behalf of the Government of the People's Republic of Nagalim and on his own behalf, NSCN (IM) Yaruiwo, Q Tuccu has expressed sadensss over the demise of Lieut. Col (Retd ) Pukhato Swu, a Steering Committee member on July 25.
Late Swu, from Shesulimi village under Sumi Region, was a man with “great principle who resolute in his commitment towards the cause of freedom of Nagalim,” Tuccu said.
The GPRN has lost a beloved son and an outstanding patriot, he noted, adding that from his early days, late Swu “demonstrated great bravery, resourcefulness and initiative.”
"On his passing away, we are reminded of his determined contribution over many decades to the struggle for freedom. He served the nation wholeheartedly without any reservation," he added.
“The NSCN salute this great man and express condolence to the bereaved family who gave his best service for the Naga Nation. May the Almighty God give strength and solace at this hour of grief and sorrow. May his Soul Rest in peace,” the NSCN Chairman (Yaruiwo) stated.
