Factional hostilities between the NSCNs one led by S.S Khaplang and the other led by Khole and Kitovi continue. Late last night, one James who is in the rank of ’second lieutenant’ in the S.S Khaplang group of NSCN was attacked by rival Khole/Kitovi faction of the NSCN in Kohima. On Sunday, the Khaplang faction alleged that at around 10:30 pm, James was undergoing medical treatment at A.G Colony in Kohima when he was attacked by the rival group.
“Fortunately, our man escaped unhurt,” said the NSCN-K in a press note issued by its MIP. The NSCN (Khaplang) once again reiterated its commitment to maintain peace and tranquility but strongly cautioned that taking its humane gesture for weakness shall be befittingly responded with iron hand if the GPRN/NSCN continues to target its cadres and officials.
