DIMAPUR, JUNE 18 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN Khaplang has issued what it stated was a “final caution to Kholi-Kitovi to either restrain itself from further harassment of NSCN family members or face consequences”. A press note issued by the group’s MIP stated that on the night of 17th June 2012, “Kholi-Kitovi armed bandits” numbering around six and led by one Capt. Akato broke into the residence of Deputy Kilonser Vedeta Chakesang at Burma Camp, Dimapur and physically assaulted the innocent civilian members of the family without any rhymes or reasons.
“If this contaminative practise continues the NSCN/GPRN would be compelled to initiate corrective measures to root out such evils destroying the very essence of nationalism”, stated the MIP note. Also the MIP note stated that as a precaution to avoid any collateral casualty, the Assam Rifles have been asked to be vigilant in case of any “defensive retaliation from People’s Army, NSCN against Kholi-Kitovi “. According to the MIP note, in recent several cases “Kholi-Kitovi bandits were seen guiding AR’s raid against NSCN”. “It is therefore warned that NSCN would as defensive act target the traitors for which any collateral damage consequent upon, the NSCN would not own responsibility”, the MIP note stated.
