
DIMAPUR, JANUARY 13 (MExN): Pointing out that it was “heeding to the people’s call for maintaining peace and tranquility in Naga society”, the NSCN/GPRN led by S.S. Khaplang has unconditionally released one GPRN/NSCN cadre who was apprehended by the NSCN cadres from Mon town last night.
According to a press note issued by the MIP Secretary, alert NSCN (K) ‘boys’ apprehended one GPRN/NSCN cadre identified as one Pojem Konyak S/O Lt. Tahmao of Sheanghah Wansa village from Mon town late last night. However, considering the 18th December 2007 Resolution of ENPO and the Konyak Union (KU), the NSCN (K) stated that it had unconditionally released the cadre without any harm.
The unconditional release ceremony was held today in presence of his relatives and village council members and others which should be a example for each and everyone I,e, all the national groups, the MIP Secretary stated.
Leaving aside all the differences amongst the warring groups, the NSCN (K) decided to release the apprehended cadre in the larger interests of all Naga brothers “as for us we have no enemy amongst our own brothers but our real enemy is still out there”. The MIP Secretary note stated that it was high time to realize our own fault and seek forgiveness from each other instead of hunting down each other.
