NSCN (K) issue ‘final quit notice’

DIMAPUR, JAN 28 (MExN): The NSCN (K) has re-affirmed the Quit Notice given to Tangkhuls and issued what it described as “this final directive to all Tangkhuls to leave Nagaland bag and baggage before February 5, 2007.” “If anything happens to any Tangkhul be he/she, a government servant or a businessman or a student or terrorist, it will be taken as self-inflicted punishment and no Naga organization or NSCN/GPRN can be blamed”, stated a directive issued by Seochem Sangtam, Deputy Kilonser, MIP of the NSCN (K).

Alleging that “killings and brutalities have been re-enforced by the presence of Isak Swu and Th Muivah at so called Hebron Camp”, the latest directive has ordered the NSCN (K) regional authorities and Naga Army units working in their respective work places to “see that the directive is implemented in letter and spirit”.

While pointing out that it was “now running seven months since the Quit Notice issued to Tangkhuls to leave Nagaland safe and sound”, the NSCN (K) has stated that instead of leaving Nagaland, “the Tangkhuls are doing more harm to the Nagas” and cited the recent killing of Vihuto alias Neon Sema at Hebron. The NSCN (K) alleged that Vihuto was “skinned alive and his fingers cut down, all his bones broken and his flesh all bruised”.

“However bad or enraged, Naga people would never ever do such satanic acts”, the NSCN (K) stated. The NSCN (K) also cited another example of the recent killing of what it termed as “two Konyak innocent boys” at Kohima and portraying them as NSCN (K) cadres through blatant lies, it stated.
