The NSCN-K (Khango) held a consultative meeting with the leaders of ENPO at Tobu village on September 4.

MON, SEPTEMBER 6 (MExN): The NSCN-K (Khango) conducted a significant consultative meeting with leaders of the Eastern Nagaland Peoples Organization (ENPO) at Tobu village on September 4.
A press release issued by the MIP said the NSCN-K (Khango) delegation was led by its President, Lieut Gen (Retd) Khango Konyak, Ato Kilonser Hokato Vusshe, Kilo Kilonser Visheto Yeptho, members of the Council of Kilonser, senior Naga Army Officers, and Secretariat staff. The ENPO team was represented by President A. Chingmak Chang, General Secretary M. Honang Konyak, executive members, and the KU Tobu unit.
The meeting proved to be productive, with both parties expressing mutual respect for each other's contributions toward the development of Naga society, particularly for the benefit of the younger generation, the press release stated .The NSCN-K (Khango) acknowledged the ENPO leaders and other CSOs from Eastern Nagaland for their dedication to achieving a fair and honorable solution for their people. They affirmed their full support for the ENPO's demands and pledged to work together to enhance social, economic, and political conditions for the Nagas.
The NSCN-K (Khango) also called on both the Government of India and the Government of Nagaland to address the ENPO's legitimate concerns promptly. The ENPO leaders, in turn, expressed their appreciation for the sacrifices made by NSCN workers and committed to supporting their efforts in a unified manner until a peaceful resolution is reached.
Additionally, the NSCN-K (Khango) addressed the impact of natural calamities on road traffic, particularly affecting the National Highway. They urged Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio to prioritize the development of alternative roadways, especially the Dimapur–Shokhuvi–Kukidolong road and the Niuland–Botsa road. These routes are crucial for emergency situations but are currently in substandard condition, it stated.
