DIMAPUR, JAN 24 (MExN): The NSCN (K) has said it is left with no other option other than retaliating to the actions of its rival. Supervisor of UT-1, Akato Chophi, today said peace seems elusive because of the ‘ugly deeds’ of the NSCN (I-M).
Reacting to the killing of Vikuto at Camp Hebron, allegedly by the NSCN (I-M), Akato slammed the latter for pursuing double standards. He said that though NSCN (I-M) General Secretary Th Muivah was proclaiming peace, killings were being meted out on the other hand.
He has also announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh each towards capture, or information leading to the arrest of ‘Major’ Ape Chakhesang, NSCN (I-M) town commander and Kakuho Assumi, political organizer of the faction’s UT-1.
