DIMAPUR, DEC 8 (MExN): Describing it as “quite demeaning” on the part of the NSCN (IM) to disown its own workers who had all the while being steadfastly serving its organization, the NSCN (K) in a statement clarified on the denial of the NSCN (IM) of SO Hutoshe Yeptho, Ministry of Education, as member of its fold. Furnishing factual details, Akato Chophi, Supervisor UT-1, GPRN/NSCN (K) stated that despite immense dedication and sacrifices, 16 Naga workers were not regarded in the cabinet list owing to the reason that Nagas of Nagaland would become majority in the national work.
“And these circumstances occurred during cabinet secretary-ship of Samson Jajo Tangkhul followed by Reishang Tangkhul”, the NSCN (K) leader stated while pointing out that whereas, when Vitoshe Sumi assumed responsibility of cabinet secretary, these workers were assimilated into its fold in consideration of selfless meritorious services rendered to the organization.
“Today IM leaders vehemently condemn and deny Hutoshe Sumi joining NSCN citing that he has been discharged from the service since long time back in order to save its own organization from being exposed as to its prevailing injustice and nepotism in favour of a certain tribe”, the NSCN (K) stated and gave particulars of appointment crediting Hutoshe as SO Education on recommendation of NSCN (IM) Home Kilonser vide memo no. 16-02/RE-IN/CS-06, dated 7/9/2006. “It is therefore left to the Nagas to judge how innocent Nagas are victimized to serve IK’s interest and to what extent non-Nagas are protected, patronized and promoted at the expense of the Nagas”, added the NSCN (K).
