DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 20 (MExN): The NSCN Khaplang has given invitation to “Khehoi campers” for an open debate on the split that took place in 1988. In a press note issued by the MIP the NSCN Khaplang termed the “Khehoi clerks” as “mimicking MIP” “to issue incredible lies, threats and intimidation to Konyak Regional Officials NSCN/GPRN in defense of it’s disgraced gang leader Kholi Konyak”. While scrutinizing the role of Kholi Konyak in particular the NSCN Khaplang stated that it “felt obliged to give proper history lessons to young clerks at Khehoi who in fact have never ventured beyond Mon or Dimapur and therefore unaware, unheard or unseen of the facts of genesis of 1988 bloody genocide”.
The MIP note stated that during the crisis the then Col.Kholi Konyak who was also the C-n-C alone had been physically present and “acted the sole superior authority in-charge of the affairs”. It was stated that the NSCN Chairman, Isak Chishi Swu had been on foreign trip and was away somewhere in Kachin land while the Vice-Chairman SS.Khaplang was camping in Arunachal-India border and Th.Muivah had also been camping at CHQ. It was claimed that there had been no official decree issued by the Chairman, Vice-chairman, General Secretary, the Council or by the Party and that it was “purely a spontaneous and unilateral massacres selectively carried out on orders from Col.Kholi konyak”.
