
DIMAPUR, MARCH 28 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN Khaplang has expressed “regret over the shooting incident near NHK Kohima” and sought “pardon from the innocent victim and family, the AYO and every affected individual whose sentiments have been hurt collaterally and not intentionally”. Expressing regret over the shooting incident near NHK Kohima, a press note from the MIP however noted that the “incident was purely in retaliation against the assassination attempt on our Sumi region, Vice Chairman by Khehoi gang at Zunheboto on 15 th March two days prior to Kohima incident”.
“Khehoi gang should also own moral responsibility for the incident because the deceased person along with his extortion partners has been residing near NHK and from there they have been carrying out extortion activities and been harassing the entire business community in Kohima”, stated the MIP note while adding that as “per the input and request from the colony folks for intervention, the action was taken”.
While appreciating the resolve of the AYO to oppose shooting and killing within it’s jurisdiction, the NSCN/GPRN Khaplang stated that it was also “fully prepared to co-operate with such positive and path breaking commission of the AYO”. The NSCN Khaplang has also urged the AYO and other civil societies including the Naga public to rise up in union against the continuing “defiance of the peace programmes by Khehoi gang”.
The NSCN/GPRN Khaplang also condemned the “abduction and merciless murder of late. Adi Angami, Tatar, NSCN/GPRN by Khehoi gangsters at Kohima on 26th March”.” The coward and unethical conducts of these gangsters who usually prey upon unarmed and defenceless victims, taking the victims alive and later killing in cold blood should be properly recorded for declaring it as war crimes and crimes against humanity even after the Indo-Naga settlement comes about”, the MIP note stated while pointing out that it was “time for every conscientious Nagas to boldly act upon the latest murder of a fellow Naga patriot by India sponsored Khehoi terrorists”.
