
DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 21 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (Akato) has expressed regret over the December 17 abduction and assault incident, in which some of its cadres were allegedly involved.
In an emergency cabinet meeting held on December 21, the organization confirmed that following a thorough investigation, it was found that certain individuals, including Jonathan Poumai, Lamtsaba Sangtam, and Kakuho Achumi, had colluded with members of the public in the reprehensible act.
A press release from the MIP, NSCN/GPRN-R (Akato) maintained that the actions of these individuals were personal and did not reflect the stance or policy of the organization.
The NSCN/GPRN (Akato) also announced the termination and disowning of all accused individuals, to let the law should now take its course without any bias.
Additionally, it suspended the Crime Control Department (CCD) with immediate effect and has recalled all staff members assigned to the department.
