Both the NSCN groups have reportedly agreed to move all their respective armed cadres to the approved designated camps by June 30.
This agreement was arrived at a meeting with the officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs recently, disclosed CMFG/CFSB Chairman, Lt Gen. RV Kulkarni (Retd) today.
Kulkarni said that the MHA has told the two groups that if, thereafter, any armed cadres in or without uniform is detected outside the designated camps it would be viewed as gross violation of the ceasefire ground rules.
It was also reiterated that all armed cadres must remain in their designated camps and any presence outside the camps would be dealt with appropriately, said Kulkarni.
It was learnt that during the meeting, the MHA officials had conveyed their grave concern about armed cadres of both factions not staying in their designated camps approved by CMFG/CFSB.
Inspite of deadlines given in the past, and agreed to by the parties concerned, it has not been complied with, as such the MHA has taken serious view of this non compliance by the NSCNs, Kulkarni said.
MHA has also reported to have noted with concern that the presence of a large numbers of armed cadres moving about outside the camps, especially in populated areas is leading to increase in inter factional clashes as also loss of public life and property, which has created feeling of insecurity in the mind of common people.
Kulkarni met MHA functionaries for reviewing the implementation of CFGRs by the NSCN groups and situation arising out of non-compliance of clauses of the ground rules.
