NSF, ENSF reminds State government on appointment of SSA & RMSA Teachers

Dimapur, June 26 (MExN): The Naga Students Federation (NSF) and Eastern Naga Students Federation (ENSF) on Friday  has asked the State Government to bring teachers of all the 2010 and 2013 batch of SSA and RMSA teachers into the mainstream of the School Education cadre.

According to a joint statement issued by the Federations, agitating teachers under the NSSATA were invited for dialogue to address their grievances with the School Education Department and Government of Nagaland. After consecutive meetings, a 9 point agreement was arrived at on June 12, 2018 between NSSATA, NSF, ENSF and the Government of Nagaland, represented by the Principal Secretary, School Education.

However, in regard to the agreement stated in the 3rd point to rectify nature of appointment of SSA Teachers of 2010 and 2013 and the follow up of the minutes of the Cabinet meeting held on October 3, 2018 which approved and decided in principle to bring the teachers of all the 2010 and 2013 batch of SSA and RMSA teachers into the mainstream of the School Education cadre has not been fulfilled till date, in spite of the repeated appeals from the signatories of the June 12, 2018 Agreement, the NSF and ENSF statement said.

In this regard, the Federations have urged the State Government to honour the agreement and resolution of all the stake holders.
