NSF seeks return of stranded Nagas

KOHIMA, MAY 10 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has written to the Chief Secretary of Nagaland, urging the government to take immediate steps to ensure the safe return of Naga students and professionals currently stranded in states affected by the escalating conflict between India and Pakistan.

In its letter, the NSF expressed concern over the growing tensions between the two countries, which have led to a near-war situation, severely disrupting the lives of several Naga citizens residing in the conflict zones. The closure of airports has exacerbated the situation, leaving many individuals stranded and unable to return to their home state.

The NSF highlighted that numerous affected individuals have approached the Federation for assistance in securing their safe return to Nagaland. It, therefore, called on the Nagaland government to establish a mechanism to ensure the safety of these individuals and facilitate their swift repatriation.
