The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) today observed its 70th foundation day here at its office conference hall.

Former president of the Federation, NSN Lotha in his speech said NSF has been making the highest contribution in shaping the Naga society. “We should be proud to say that we have been instrumental in shaping the Naga society in different dimensions,” he stated.

He called upon the incumbent NSF officials to retrospect into the areas which have weakened the NSF and sincerely take actions so that Nagas can look at the contributions of the NSF for further more.

NSF president Kesosul Christopher Ltu in his presidential note conveyed appreciation to the founding members and senior members for their immense contribution towards the cause and objective of the Federation. He requested the seniors, federating and subordinate units to continue to extend their cooperation and support to take the Federation forward.

NSF former president Achumbemo Kikon meanwhile urged upon the present team to connect the missing link and work hard to enhance the fame and glory of the NSF.

The basis of forming the NSF, he said, was to work for the welfare of the students and other social issues in particular, but more to do with the Naga political issue. In this, he urged upon the NSF to play a pivotal role in the ongoing political talk.

NSF former vice president Neikuoca Lhousa requested the present team to be truthful and faithful to one another.

Asserting that Naga people have become modernized but yet to be civilized, he called upon the present team to make a sincere effort in making Naga people civilized for better tomorrow. NSF former general secretary Vivi Nyuthe also spoke on the occasion.
