NSLSA chairman transferred to Manipur

Justice LS Jamir, Judge Gauhati High Court and Executive Chairman NSLSA and wife with members of the Registry Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench, NSLSA and Kohima District Legal Services Authority.
  KOHIMA, October 8 (MExN): Consequent upon the transfer of the Justice LS Jamir, Judge Gauhati High Court and Executive Chairman Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) transfer to Manipur High Court as Judge no 2, the NSLSA organized a send-off programme to honour his contribution towards the legal services authority at his residence on October 8.   As a way forward, Justice LS Jamir urged the NSLSA with the Panel Lawyers and Para Legal Volunteers to continue reaching out to the downtrodden sections of the society.   He thanked the Member Secretary and the team of NSLSA for carrying forward the various activities and further assured to continue his support to the NSLSA.   Delivering acknowledgement, Mezivolu T Therieh, NJS, Member Secretary NSLSA highlighted some of the achievements and progress made by the NSLSA under the leadership of the Justice LS Jamir. She described him as a person with impeccable quality and a person who maintains transparency and gives the freedom to act with trust and confidence.   Delivering short speech, Akumla Longchari, State Co-Ordinator NSLSA said that many milestones have been achieved by the legal services authority under his tenure as the Executive Chairman.   She thanked Jamir for his support and motivation through positive spirit and concern shown towards the legal fraternity.   Neiko Kanuo, Registrar Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench also delivered a voluntary speech.   Khesheli Chishi, NJS, Principal District and Session Judge Kohima and Chairperson Kohima DLSA pronounced the benediction.   Members from the Registry Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench, NSLSA and Kohima District Legal Services Authority attended the programme.
