NSLSA holds induction training for Legal Literacy Clubs

KOHIMA, May 25 (MExN): Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) conducted one-day induction training for Teacher-in-Charge and students of Legal Literacy Clubs (LLCs) with Longleng District Legal Services Authority, Zunheboto District Legal Services Authority and Phek District Legal Services Authority on May 25.  

The training expounded on topics such as effective method to establish legal literacy clubs and to ensure its performance- attendance of club members and teachers (as and when meeting are held).documentation/reporting and record keeping, role of Teacher In -Charge (activities to be carried out by the respective teacher with the knowledge of the DLSA), individual activities of the LLC and academic credit for the students for the activities done (if such criteria exist).  

For LLC in community based engagement and its networking, the teacher-in-charge and students were taught on identifying the need of the community, community involvement and building trust and Networking (link with the DLSA and the state holders).  

84 students and 5 teacher-in-charge from 4 schools in Longleng, 56 students and 5 Teacher-in-Charge from 5 five schools in Phek and 49 students and 5 teacher- in-charge from 5 schools in Zunhebotoattended the induction training.  

Certificate of participation were issued by the Nagaland State Legal Services Authority to all the participants present at the training.  

It may be mentioned that such induction training for LLCs would be conducted in all the districts of Nagaland.
