The objectives were to understand the project HR policy and structure; systems policy and structure; community institutions and community cadres protocols and structure; and livelihoods interventions, a release stated.   She also mentioned that cross learning of the respective program implementations will facilitate building synergetic strategies and policies for the imminent phase over.

The mission Director also expressed her delight to the community members for working together towards socio-economic upliftment within their community.   District Project Manager, Peren, Ruuvilie Kuotsu also highlighted the project goals and objectives, structure, achievements and intermediary impacts.

The field visits were conducted at several sites around Peren District to understand the working of the Community Institutions; Community Development Groups on Natural Resource Management and Community Learning Business Resource Centre; Feed Mill Production centre; Hygienic Modern Abattoir; Producer Groups on Spices; Weaving and Loom Production Unit; Producer Groups on piggery; Producer Organisations on different livelihoods; and Road side market.

During the interactive session with the SHG Federation members, Chief Operating Officer, M. He also encouraged the program team and the community members to think beyond NERLP and in the lines of sustainability of the Community Institutions and Assets created through a registered Cluster/Block Federation as financial intermediary beyond village level.

The imperativeness of regular coordination and cross learning of best practises between NSRLM and NERLP to ensure the individual community households remain at the centre of both the programs was reiterated.
