NSRLM stresses convergence, community participation

Jakhama, March 24 (MExN): A Block Level Coordination Committee (BLCC) meeting under the Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) was held at the SDO (Civil) Office, Jakhama on March 24. 

A DIPR report stated that the programme was organised by the Block Mission Management Unit (BMMU), RD Block Jakhama, under the Department of Rural Development, Government of Nagaland. Officials and representatives from various line departments and stakeholders attended the meeting to review ongoing activities and strengthen coordination at the block level.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the implementation and progress of various rural development and livelihood programmes under NSRLM. The members also deliberated on strategies to improve convergence among departments, enhance community participation, and ensure effective delivery of schemes to beneficiaries.

Emphasis was laid on strengthening self-help groups (SHGs), promoting sustainable livelihood initiatives, and addressing challenges faced at the grassroots level. The committee also highlighted the importance of timely monitoring, reporting, and collaborative efforts for achieving the mission’s objectives.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment from all stakeholders to work in coordination for the successful implementation of rural development programmes in Jakhama block.
