Kohima, October 31 (MExN): Nagaland State Cooperative Bank Ltd organised a Business Meet in commemorations of the forthcoming Golden Jubilee at Kohima main branch on October 30. Addressing the meet, Jonah Sumi, CM, NStCB Kohima Main Branch said that the bank which started with one branch in Dimapur will be completing 50 years and celebrating the Golden Jubilee on November 10 at Dimapur. It was stated in a press release that there as 21 branches across the state of Nagaland. Kekhwengulo Lea, Vice Chairman, BOD, NStCB Ltd, in his address, appreciated the banking staffs for carrying the good works in the state, adding the bank is the only bank in the states which is reaching across the far and near one in the village and even helping the farmers. Further, he said that the bank is also competing the commercial bank and able to sustain on its own and thanked the state government for the help.
T Abao Kire, BOB, NStCB Kohima said that the bank has come a long way and the bank was able to compete with the multi nationalized bank in the state. Sedehol Sale, former , MD NStCB also shared his experience with the bank, which he served from 1974 till his retirement in 2007 and also congratulated the bank to celebrate the Golden Jubilee. NABARD AGM Bendang lauded the NStCB in partnering with NABARD for carrying out various activities in the state.
Earlier the functioning was chaired by Kevi Hibo, ABM, NStCB, Kohima Mani Branch, invocation prayer was led by Rev.Dr.TR Angami, Pastor, 1st AG Church, Kohima, welcome address as delivered by Keduseho Sale, FO, NStCB Main Branch, Kohima and PP Bose, BM, NStCB, HSJ Branch proposed the vote of thanks.
