Dimapur, May 1 (MExN): The National Socialist Women’s Organization of Nagalim (NSWON) today condemned the recent ‘offensive operation’ carried out by security forces against the NSCN (IM) in the Kangkum area, Manipur.
“This very act of the Assam Rifles and the Manipur Police is highly condemnable to know their utter disrespect for the safety of the people in the Kasom Block area in the face of dreaded COVID-19,” it said in a statement appended by NSWON Chairperson Hosheli Achumi.
Further, the NSWON expressed solidarity and gratitude to the womenfolk of the region for “fighting off unitedly, without fear against the violence mongers.”
“Though physically apart, we are with you in spirit and our prayer will always be there as it has been,” the release stated.
