NTCP Peren declares 3 institutions tobacco free

Peren, October 3 (MExN): Two more schools and one college in Peren district were recently declared Tobacco free by the National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) Team, Peren District under the aegis of Chief Medical Office, Peren. A press release from District Media Officer, CMO Office, Peren stated Ibaung Thou Memorial School Jalukie Town was declared tobacco free school on September 24, Heraka Vidhyabharati School B Jalukie on September 26 followed by St Xavier College Jalukie on September 30. The educational institutions pledged to continue the campaign of tobacco free environment and show their support towards healthy lifestyle. This was under COPTA Act that 100 meter yards within the school campus remain tobacco free.
