NU: SASRD conducts career counselling programme on competitive exams 

Dimapur, February 27 (MExN): A one-day career orientation and counselling programme was organised by the Counselling & Placement Cell at NU: SASRD on February 26 with the main aim to create awareness among students preparing for the state and central civil services.

Around 300 Undergraduate and Post Graduate students participated in the programme which was conducted by resource persons from NECI and Imperial Coaching Institute Dimapur, a press release informed on Sunday.

The first session was taken by Tapanjit Sinha, Head faculty, NECI Dimapur who oriented the students on NPSC exam and deliberated on adopting suitable strategies for success. The second session was taken by Saurav Saket, from Imperial Coaching Institute Dimapur who familiarised the students on UPSC civil services exam, strategy and resources for preparing General Studies, and motivated them for a planned approach for success. The third session was conducted by Rahul Sen, Chief operating officer, Imperial Coaching Institute Dimapur, who conceptualized success and motivated the students to set proper career goals, the release stated.

Earlier, invocation prayer was pronounced by Imnatula, EU member SASRD while Prof KK Jha who is in-charge of Counselling & Placement Cell, deliberated on various promising career opportunities available in the field of agriculture during his introductory remarks.

Prof Jha expressed gratitude to Prof Alemla Ao, Pro Vice –Chancellor and Prof Akali Sema, Dean NU:SASRD  for providing all needed facilities and help. He also applauded the SU: SASRD for their supportive role in organising the counselling programme, the release stated.
