NU to host North East Zone Inter University Football Tournament

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 9 (MExN): Nagaland University, Lumami, is set to host the Northeast Zone Inter-University Football Tournament (Men) for the 2024-25 season. Scheduled to take place from November 11 to November 15, the tournament will be organized under the auspices of the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.

Matches will be held simultaneously at the Local Ground in Mokokchung and the Dr. T. Ao Sports Complex in Lumami. The event will see participation from 19 university teams across the northeastern states, including Bodoland University, Cotton University, Dhanamanjuri University, Dibrugarh University, Guwahati University, ICFAI Meghalaya, ICFAI Tripura, Manipur University, Mizoram University, Nagaland University, National Sports University, North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Rajiv Gandhi University, Royal Global University, Sikkim Manipal University, St. Joseph University, Tezpur University, Tripura University, and the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM).

The tournament’s four pool winners will qualify for the Inter-Zonal Tournament at GNA University in Punjab, as well as the Khelo India University Games 2024.
