Phom Students’ Union Kohima organizes career guidance seminar
Kohima, November 26 (MExN): Phom Students’ Union Kohima (PSUK) conducted one day career guidance seminar with the theme ‘Nurturing the potential of every youth’ on November 25 at Kohima Phom Baptist Church.
Wangan Phom, EAC, DC office Kohima and Dr Ao Meren Longkumer, Medical Officer, UPHC Seikhazou, Kohima were the resource persons.
Speaking on competitive exam, its preparation and career in the civil service, Wangan Phom shared on how he started preparing for the State civil service. He highlighted the basic methods and ideas to be followed by an individual while preparing for competitive exam, informed a press release from PSUK. The EAC further shared on the pattern and process of conducting competitive exam. He advised the participants to always put God first so that one can achieve one’s dream and be successful in life, the release added.
Dr Ao Meren Longkumer speaking on studies and career in technical field said one needs to come out of the comfort zone and start preparing for one’s chosen path or career. He encouraged the participants to pursue their studies and career based on their interest so that one can excel in whatever they do. In the present competitive world, he said, “we don’t need to be the best only in one way or field, but across we need to be the best in order to achieve something great.”
Menlom Phom, who recently got through NCS exam, exhorted the gathering through his testimony of how the Lord blessed him in every step of his life, according to the press release. He encouraged and challenged the participants that if he whose life began in the village can achieve such dream then those who are born and brought up in towns and cities must set higher goals.
