Dimapur, September (MExN): A webinar, with the objective of spreading and promoting official language Hindi among faculties, staffs and students of Nagaland University (NU), was organised by the Hindi Cell NU on August 31.
Speaking at the webinar titled, “Status of Official Language Hindi in 75th Year of Independence,” Prof NDR Chandra of Department of English, NU shared the historical and constitutional introduction of the official language. He also emphasised on One Culture, One Language and drew the participants’ attention towards the simplicity of Hindi language, informed a press release from NU PRO Peter Ki. The other speaker, Prof Jai Kaushal, Head, Department of Hindi, Assam University, highlighted the steps taken by the government for the development of the official language Hindi, it said. In his presidential address, Prof Mithilesh Kumar Sinha of NU’s Department of Economics also pointed out that the scope of Official Language Hindi.The webinar was attended by around 70 participants, the release informed.
