NVCO supports written complaint to Kohima DC

Kohima, October 10 (MExN): The Nagaland Voluntary Consumers’ Organisation (NVCO) has extended their support to Kohima District Truck Owners & Drivers’ Union (KDTODU) for the written complaint to the Kohima Deputy Commissioner against an individual named Kozhol Kirha for purportedly declaring the former’s recent statement on illegal cash collection at check gates and highways as false.

The NVCO Press & Media Cell in a press release stated that in support of the KDTODU’s listing of the illegal collection of cash, the NVCO team led by its President, Kezhokhoto Savi visited the police check-gates/cash counters collection within Southern Angami jurisdiction on September 21, 2019 coinciding with the conduct of consumer awareness campaign at Tyrannus Boys Hostel Jakhama and Japfü Christian College, Kigwema. It confirmed that there were police check-gates/cash counters “actively collecting cash at the check-gates and on highways on September 21, 2019.”

The NVCO further ask the state government to completely stop all collections of cash at the check-gates and on highways starting from its own agencies.
