A strong wrestling team of the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) returned home today from Dehradun after participating at 12th AITWPF Traditional Wrestling & Pankration Championship 2024, held from October 3-6 at Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
The team was received by NWA officials at Dimapur Railway Station. After a short programme led by NWA president Vivolie Kezo, the team left for Kohima. Nagaland bagged 27 Gold, 17 Silver and 10 Bronze medals in the championship.
This is the highest number of medals won by Team Nagaland at any National Championship in wrestling.
Meanwhile, NWA thanked all the wrestlers and officials for the remarkable achievement and bringing glory to the state.
