Tobu, June 25 (MExN): The monthly meeting of the Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB), Tobu, was held at the EBRC Hall in Tobu Town on June 24, marking a transition in the board's leadership.
Outgoing SDPDB Chairman and MLA Naiba Konyak, who attended the meeting, welcomed SDPDB members, village representatives, ward chairmen and other participants.
Reflecting on his tenure, he thanked the members for their support and said there had been cordial relations among all stakeholders, enabling smooth execution of public development works entrusted to him.
Naiba Konyak formally handed over the functioning and responsibilities of the SDPDB office to the new chairman, MLA A Nyamnyei Konyak.
Additional Deputy Commissioner and Vice-Chairman of SDPDB Tobu, L Samuel, NCS, welcomed the new chairman and expressed hope for continued cooperation and development under his leadership.
Addressing the gathering, A Nyamnyei Konyak stressed that effective coordination among departments should be a prerequisite for ensuring smooth governance at all levels.
He assured members of his full cooperation in advancing developmental initiatives and urged departments to bring forward pending works requiring attention so that necessary steps could be taken for their implementation.
Following the chairman's address, the meeting proceeded with the agenda discussions. The meeting was chaired by SDPDB Secretary Er R Mhao Humtsoe, EAC, Tobu.
