Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Kiphire organized 'Fit India Freedom Run 2.0' as part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' to commemorate the 75th year of India’s independence which was attended by SP Kiphire, Administration, Sports officials, students and DC Kiphire as special guest.
While addressing the participants before the run, Wati Aier DC Kiphire thanked the students for coming to participate in the run even during the pandemic period.
He congratulated everyone on the 75th Independence Day and appealed to all the participants to stay fit and face adversities in life and help in building a stronger society.
He extended gratitude to the organizers for organising the programme keeping in mind COVID-19 protocols for the benefits of the local people.
The DC appealed to all the residents and students to take part and join in the common pursuit of building a healthier society.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Nuzise Sangtam and welcome address delivered by Yangseba.
Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 was flaged off by DC Kiphire at Local ground which culminated at Delux point Kiphire.
