Dimapur, October 21 (MExN): Nagaland Zoological Park (NZP) hosted a solo exhibition of Wildlife Photographs by Onenjungshi Ao, an upcoming Local Wildlife Photographer who is also working as a Photographer in the Chief Wildlife Warden's Office under Department of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of Nagaland.
NZP, Officer-in-Charge and also Asst. Conservator of Forest Obed Bohovi Swu in a press release stated that the exhibition held on October 21 included many important bird species of our region. Till date Onenjungshi has documented about 20 species of free ranging birds within Nagaland Zoological Park. Photographs of captive wildlife of the park captured by Onenjungshi were also exhibited.
The main objective of the exhibition was to create awareness about India's rich biodiversity, its importance to environment, its role in ecology and our role in conservation. The exhibition was a grand success and very well received by the visitors of the park. The exhibition will be continued till Sunday where many more visitors are expected to view the exhibition.
This is the first exhibition in the Park by an individual. However with an aim to create more awareness about our wildlife wealth the park will continue to support such activities.
Sentichuba Aier, Director, Nagaland Zoological Park, conveyed his appreciation to the Photographer for his contribution towards conservation awareness and also congratulated him on his first ever solo exhibition and wished him more success in the future too.
