
Dimapur, September 4 (MExN): Various organizations on Sunday greeted the teaching community in the Nagaland and the rest of the country on the occasion of Teacher’s Day.
SKK: The All Sümi Students’ Union (SKK) acknowledged and lauded the invaluable service rendered by teachers towards building the society.
“Quality education can never be substituted and your role towards imparting the same is indisputable,” it said in a press release on Sunday.
Stating that it has become even more necessary to lay emphasis on quality education, especially at a juncture where the world is making unimaginable progress, the SKK appealed to the teachers for persistent commitment and accountability towards nurturing young minds.
“We are deeply grateful and we continue to rely on your noble actions to inspire holistic growth and change the landscape of our society,” it added.
ZSUN: The Zeliang Students' Union, Nagaland also issued a press release noting that the day is celebrated to remember the vital role of teachers in the society.
“A teacher opens a window of a multitude of opportunities for students. The potter jiggers the clay to make sure there are no clumps and then models it into a beautiful art structure. Similarly, a teacher may be hard on students sometimes but at the end, they only want them to become the best version of their selves,” it said.
On that note, the ZSUN paid homage to the sacrifices that teachers have made to make sure that their students excel in their lives and also live honourable lives. “Teachers Day is not a mere day .It is more about celebrating the teachings they have inculcated in a student and carrying those values and teachings ahead with the wisdom of knowledge,” it added.
DNSU: “Teachers day is an occasion when we recognize the dedicated services of the teachers of our nation who are engaged in building and strengthening the intellectual and ethical foundation of our children,” the Dimapur Naga Students’ Union stated in its message.
Teachers motivate the young minds, quench their thirst for knowledge and bring out their hidden talent and potential it said, while conveying good wishes to the entire teaching community of the country. It also expressed gratitude for their dedication and commitment to the greater cause of educating the youth.
LJP: Meanwhile, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) Nagaland unit extended warm greetings to all the teaching community of Nagaland, stating that they are constantly engaged in strengthening the intellectual and ethical foundations of the youth, society and country. The Party also acknowledged the tireless efforts and sacrifices of all the teachers and expressed heartfelt gratitude and good wishes for their lifetime of dedication and commitment to the great cause of educating the youth, through a press release issued by Alvin Solo, General Secretary & Spokesman attached to the State President.
