Dimapur, September 21 (MExN): The Dimapur District Excise duty party manning Chümoukedima check gate, based on specific information, intercepted a vehicle (truck) bound for Imphal, Manipur on September 20 at around 11:30 pm.
On frisking the vehicle, the duty party recovered 400 cases of assorted IMFL concealed under bags of chicken feed, a press release from the Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition Dimapur informed on Tuesday.
In this connection, one Md Suheb (24) of Thoubal, Manipur was arrested and booked under relevant sections of the NLTP Act 89'. The case is presently under investigation, the release added.
