A one day seminar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) & Geographical Indication was organized by IQAC, Yemhi Memorial College (YMC) on November 14 with Gihukali Chishi, Technical In-charge, PIC, Dept of Science & Technology (DST), Nagaland as the resource person. Highlighting on the various aspects of IPR, she informed on the vulnerability of one’s culture, identity, inventions and ideas to others. With the aid of the DST as the nodal agency, IPR can be safeguarded, she said. Chishi also provided the attendees with a pamphlet on Patent Information Centre (PIC).
