Dimapur, December 30 (MExN): The Dimapur Police on December 30 at around 7:30 am, received a written memo from Station Manager, NF Railway Dimapur stating that one male was found lying dead at Railway track at KM 256/2 between Rangapahar and Thahekhu village.
Accordingly on receipt of the memo, the duty party rushed to the spot and found one unidentified non-local male, age around 60 yrs (approx) was found lying dead out of the railway track.
“Inquest conducted over the dead body. The cause of dead was suspected to be knocked down by a running train,” the Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO, Dimapur stated in a press release. “On completion of all legal formalities the dead body was shifted to District Hospital Morgue for PM examination and identification,” it stated.
The deceased was wearing black jacket, blue long pant and blue t-shirt. Claimant, relatives and friends of the deceased have been requested to contact the Officer-in-Charge, Government Railway Police Station, Dimapur @7085055021.
