Wokha, May 24 (DIPR): One person identified as Khonchamo Tsanglao of Elumyo Village aged around 24 died on the spot while working, as an under construction retaining wall collapsed at Airfield Colony, Wokha. The incident happened at around 9:00am and the dead body was retrieved with the help of colony people and police. Chairman, Wokha District Disaster Management Authority (WDDMA) led by Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon; Member Secretary (WDDMA) EAC, Wokha Vejoyo Swuro and SDRF team visited the spot for verification. An immediate ex-gratia of Rs. 1 lakh was paid to the next of kin by the Member Secretary WDDMA.
