Dimapur, September 21 (MExN): The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, Government of Nagaland in collaboration with National Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) conducted an online IRS training and table top exercise simulating earthquake scenario on September 22.
A DIPR report stated that highlights of the virtual training included overview of State Disaster Management Plan and preparedness for earthquake, presentation of National Centre for Seismology, presentation by Nagaland State Disaster Response Force, presentation by CMO, Nagaland on medical preparedness for earthquake and COVID-19 related information for the first responders, presentation by NDRF on its preparedness for Nagaland followed by table top exercise.
Advisor, (Ops & Comn), NDMA, Brig Ajay Gangwar delivered the welcome address while opening address was given by Member NDMA, Lt Gen Syed Ata Hasnain (Retd).
