Opang Jamir and Fashion Designer Payal Goswami at the Alcheringa Haute Couture competition

Fashion Model and Mister India International 2012 from Nagaland Opang Jamir and Fashion Designer Payal Goswami were the juries for the recently concluded Alcheringa Haute Couture competition held at IIT Campus Guwahati on February 2. More than 20 fashion designers and fashion institutions within India participated for this year 24th Edition of Alcheringa Cultural Festival. The Demolition Crew from Kolkata won the first position, NIFT Shillong and NEIFT Bluecloud Guwahati bagged 2nd and 3rd position respectively.  Alcheringa Cultural Festival is one of the biggest students’ festivals in northeast India, since its inception in 1996 by a group of students of IIT Guwahati.
