Open bank acc & appoint qualified heads, schools in Nagaland informed 

Kohima, March 8 (MExN): The NBSE, on March 7, all transactions such as online payment of fees must be made only through the school's bank account, not individual accounts from the next financial year (i.e. April 2023).

“From the academic year 2023 onwards, all transactions such as online payment of fees, shall be made through the school's bank account and not through the individual accounts,” stated a notification issued by Asano Sekhose, Chairman Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE). 

Accordingly, schools without bank accounts are asked to do so at the earliest to enable payment of fees through the bank account from the next financial year, it said. 

Meanwhile, the private schools in the State were also reminded about the requirement of maintaining the security fixed deposit of 4 lakh (in case of high schools) and Rs 5 lakh (in case of higher secondary schools). 

Necessary action shall be taken if a private school does not maintain the security fixed deposit, the notification cautioned.  

The NBSE further directed private school running without Headmaster/Principal or Head of the Institution without the requisite qualifications to “immediately appoint qualified Headmaster/Principal.” 

Failure to comply with the rules will invite penalty to the extent of de-recognition of the school, it said. 

Further schools should make all possible efforts to appoint qualified subject teachers with requisite professional qualification, it added. 

Schools were further reminded to maintain pupil's Cumulative Record for every student from Class I to XII.

“Use of CCE (Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation) Report Card is mandatory for Class IX & X students to assess the leamer in a holistic manner,” it added.
