Open letter to the Govt of Nagaland

Subject: Without agitation no work shall be done. Is this the Government’s policy

Leaders,
Agitation in Nagaland has become like a culture. Is this what we call development? The root cause of this agitation must be studied upon. You live in palaces and drive expensive cars, but are burdened with public debts. If this continues, the problem of our land will only get bigger. Therefore, I request you to kindly take note of the points given below and do the needful.

1.    The contractors and suppliers have started an agitation recently. Since they are demanding what is due to them, the government must not neglect their demands. Who/which group is keeping their money in the bank and profiting from the interest? The contractors and suppliers must get what is meant for them since there are many workers working under them.

2.    Every year the scholarship of the students are kept in the banks to get interest from it. In the meantime the students are unable to concentrate in their studies as they long for their scholarship. Since all are not equal, there are students who depend on scholarship for the payment of their fees, rent and other dues. So the concerned authority must look into this matter seriously.

3.    Two or three months back the condition of the successful candidates of the teacher’s examination is pitiably in lukewarm situation. It is high time the matter must be brought to a conclusion at. The matter must not be kept under a deadlock. Let me share my view; since the candidates have cleared the exams and undertaking has been taken, appointment order must be given at the earliest. On the other hand, the condition of the PSTE is also degrading. After two years of dedicated training, they still remain jobless. So, the government should give them chance as promised next time.

4.    Delayed declaration of the Nagaland University results is creating a lot of inconvenience and problems for the students studying in Nagaland who wants to pursue further studies in other universities. Is this a kind of policy, of not giving the bright Naga students a chance to read in other universities?

Leaders why are you corrupting our Nagaland? Serious investigation must be done. The culprits must be fired from the jobs and put behind bars. There are many qualified youths to replace their jobs.

Without agitation no work shall be done. Is this the Government’s policy? If this is so, then we will lead the agitation even if we are not linked to any aggrieved organization.
