We the Village Authority of Guangphuning (Oklong) appreciate the effort of ZCF to conduct expedition in the ancestral land of Zeliangrong in Assam, Manipur and Nagaland State. But without proper research and blindly claiming that the origin of Zeliangrong as Makuilongdi is blatant blunder because we cannot denied History. Before going ahead with your so called expedition and erecting and unveiling of a monolith, “Nguiba Tusom” at Makuilongdi first of all your organization (ZCF) should know the first hand knowledge and account where our forefather and king Nguiba compound is located/situated. For your kind information “NGUIBA” compound is located/situated at TAMSHANGKI (PHUNING) at Guangphuning (Oklong) village. The present Makuilongdi which was re-established in 1980 is located and chosen by the new settlers according to their convenient but there is no historic place located in this new village.
Therefore, no erection and unveiling of a monolith “NGUIBA TUSOM” at any other place than the original compound of Nguiba will be opposed tooth and nail. Let us not pollute the Historical Place of Zeliangrong. “GUANGPHUNING OR CHAWANGPHUNING (Oklong)” is the original and oldest village of Zeliangrong.
