‘Operation Restoration’ for women

Peren, February 13 (MExN): After many success stories under Operation Salvage, a rehabilitation centre run by the NSCN (IM) at Heningkunglwa village in Peren district, a new venture has been launched, named as ‘Operation Restoration.’


A press release from Hauneu Hiekha, Chairman, Operation Restoration, stated that the new venture is targeted at “women who could not be stopped by the law enforcing agencies to adhere and protect the Nagaland Total Liquor Prohibition (NTLP) Act 1989.”


The objective of Operation Salvage was for total eradication of alcohol and drug, and to “create awareness among the upcoming generation to live as wise Christians.”


The release further mentioned that Operation Restoration has brought together all the NGOs and the Associations of Peren district who has been shouldering all alone, to fight these vices.


It is run and monitored by a working committee along with the support of NSCN (IM) Asalu Region, the release added.


Operation Restoration Rehab was inaugurated and dedicated by Reverend Dr Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary NBCC on February 7 in the presence of ZBCC, ZBA (ANM) LBA, RBCN, NGO and NSCN (IM) leaders. Dr Keyho endorsed full support of the ministry, which is rightly the ministry of the church. Dedication was also attended by pastors from various communities of Jalukie town and Heningkunglwa and many public leaders.
