Organisations condemn rape of physically challenged girl

Dimapur, January 13 (MExN): The Wokha Town Elumyo Ekhung (WTEE) and Wokha Town Elumyo Eloe Ekhung (WTEEE) have condemned the rape of physically challenged girl from Elumyo village by three immigrants on January 9 at Padum Pukhuri, Dimapur.
The organisations in a condemnation note issued by WTEE chairman Yanrenthung Tsanglao and WTEEE secretary Lopeno Tsanglao has termed the incident as “very disturbing and ugly”.
“It is highly outrageous that such heinous crime was committed on a helpless by none other than immigrants in our home place which shows that ‘immigrants menace’ is taking its shape in our society,” refuted the organisations in the note.  
Responding to the situation, the organisations have appealed to the law enforcing authorities to award befitting punishment to the predators and also to all the right thinking persons and various organisations to condemn the same.
