Outreach health camp organized in Wokha

Wokha, October 18 (MExN): An outreach health camp was organized by the Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) Wokha at Santsuo School under Ward no10 on October 16. 

The medical team was led by Dr Achumi Kikon, Medical Officer, UPHC, Wokha. Dr Kikon highlighted the high number of hypertension and diabetes cases during the medical checkups and suggested for more awareness campaigns. Colony council leaders of Ward no.10 expressed their gratitude to the UPHC staffs and assured full support to the health workers in other health care activities. 

Screening of blood sugar, anti malaria, HIV and blood grouping were done by the medical staff. The beneficiaries were also provided free medicines and face masks. ASHAs and Anganwadi workers of the area successfully mobilized a total of 121 beneficiaries for the free health care services.  

Covid-19 awareness was also given by the health workers and IEC materials on Covid-19 Stigma and Home Quarantine in Lotha dialect were distributed during the health camp.
