• 1.25% increase in voter registration 
• Nearly 99% EPIC coverage

Dimapur, January 10 (MExN): The Office of the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Dimapur, officially released the Final Photo Electoral Roll on January 10, with January 1, 2025 as the qualifying date. 

The publication event was held at the ADC office chamber, stated a DIPR report. The revision process saw an increase in registered voters from 1,22,501 in the draft roll to 1,24,038 in the final roll—a net addition of 1,537 voters. 

Significant statistics include an Electoral to Population Ratio of 459, a Gender Ratio of 1011, and EPIC coverage of 98.7%. Service voters totaled 1,080, while 354 persons with disabilities were registered.

The revision also processed 2,283 Form 6 applications (new voter inclusion), admitting 2109 and deleted 572 entries through 638 Form 7 submissions, ensuring a clean and accurate voter database.

The release event was presided over by Zakabo V Rotokha, ADC & Electoral Registration Officer, Dimapur, Assistant Election Officer, Dimapur, Toshimongba Longchar along with representatives of political parties, election officials, and stakeholders attended the publication event.

Rotokha said that there is a 1.25% increase in voter registration and nearly 99% EPIC coverage in Dimapur.

Earlier, Rotokha emphasised the importance of accuracy and inclusivity in the roll, urging collective efforts to ensure every eligible voter’s participation. He also noted that voter enrollment is an ongoing process to accommodate new applications.
